Mother’s Day
Sunday is Mother’s Day and we hope you’re all prepared to spoil your mums rotten!
We thought we would start off the celebrations by showcasing a few of our incredible community mums who help their children to live happily with lactose intolerance.
Susan Goater reminded us that a mother’s intuition should never be ignored. While doctors were convinced that there was nothing wrong with her daughter Emily, Susan just knew that milk was the problem. As she says: “Together with the majority of mums, I have a built in belief that ‘mother knows best’. It took many years for doctors to finally realise that there was a problem, but many tests later we had the diagnosis – lactose intolerance.”
Chemotherapy and radiotherapy left Abigail Andrews with lactose intolerance; but luckily her clever mum spotted a poster for Lactofree and introduced her to the products. “Lactofree is a miracle for me as I am not keen on soya products.”
And, of course, let’s not forget the dads… Maria was devastated when she found out that she was lactose intolerant, worrying that she’d never have yogurts or cheese again. But just a few days later her dad spotted Lactofree in the supermarket and she has never looked back since!
We’d love to hear about why your mum is so special this Mother’s Day. Please leave a comment below or find us on Facebook.
Happy Mother’s Day from Lactofree!
