London Underground is Top Intolerance!
We thought it was rather fitting after a week of strikes and stress to crown the London Underground our top intolerance, as voted for by Adriana Herrera.
Adriana told us: ‘The smell, cleanliness, inappropriate temperature and the “planned engineering” that turn my 45 min journey to work into 3 hours… It makes me cough, my eyes water, tummy hurts, my skin itches and I sweat profusely as if I just ran the London Marathon… This must mean I am quite positively allergic to the Tube!’
We hope that the London Underground is running this weekend when Adriana enjoys her winning tickets to the Allergy & Gluten Free Show!
Also attending the show is a very well-deserving Rupesh Parmar, who told us: ‘I’m intolerant to plastic wrapping, so I can’t actually get to the Lactofree cheese! Because I live on my own, I have to call my mum who lives 10 minute drive away to come and open the pack of Lactofree cheese. I know she would really like to go to the Allergy show, so it would be a nice surprise and reward for her.’
We’re also happy that young mum, Kirsty Rose is attending this weekend’s show after she told us: ‘My little man is lactose intolerant. Even if he has a small amount, he turns from my little angel to a great big devil! I’m seriously intolerant to this behavior, LOL! Being new to all of this, I would love to attend the allergy show. Any help and tips are always welcome!’
Thank you to all of our Lactofree Facebook members who entered the competition and congratulations to all of our winners.
The Allergy & Gluten Free Show, at London Olympia this weekend, is specially created for people with food allergies and intolerances, offering cookery demonstrations, product tasting and helpful seminars. There will be talks by health professionals about lactose intolerance and there’ll even be a Lactofree stand (number 56) which we hope you’ll come and visit!
