The Lactose Intolerant Community Speak Out
To celebrate the passion of the Lactofree community during National Food Allergy and Food Intolerance Week, we’ve created personal videos of people speaking from the heart about their personal experiences of lactose intolerance.
The first in a series of videos are now available for you to watch on our video page.
Symptoms
What symptoms did you experience?
The symptoms of lactose intolerance vary from person to person, but they can be debilitating until a solution is found.
“I felt ill, I felt really like a lot of my life was being drained away.”
Diagnosis
How were you diagnosed with LI? One of the greatest challenges of being lactose intolerant is misdiagnosis.
“I realised myself that there was something wrong and just through process of elimination – I’d assumed it must be something I was eating – so I was observing more about what I was eating and reading up on various conditions.”
Alternatives
Which dairy alternatives did you try before Lactofree? From soya to rice milk, you’ve tried them all!
“I can’t tolerate soya milk, but Lactofree is lovely – there is no difference with what normal people eat!”
Meaning
What does Lactofree mean to the community? Since you changed your diet, you changed your life!
“Lactofree opened up a whole world of cuisine.”
“You can share your food with other people – no one has to have your weird food!”
Your support and communication is invaluable to reach out to those who are yet to discover the cause of their digestive discomfort or learn how to live comfortably lactose free.
