Feeling a Trifle Scottish?
Today is St Andrew’s Day and there’s no reason why the lactose intolerant community can’t celebrate by indulging in traditional Scottish trifle, Typsy Laird.
Our celebrity chef, Lesley Waters, shows you how to make the delicious individual homemade trifles with creamy vanilla custard in her video recipe.
“You can do a child version and an adult version,” says Lesley, as the individual dishes allow you to soak your homemade sponge cake in either orange juice for the children, or a ‘wee dram’ for the adults, perfect to toast St Andrew’s Day!
View Lesley’s trifle video recipe and a number of other indulgent treats, which are also featured in the Recipe Club.
Happy St Andrew’s Day from Lactofree.
