Enjoy University Life with Lactofree
With the new university year about to begin, there will be many anxious teenagers preparing to start their student lives and we hope that those who suffer the added anxiety of lactose intolerance are packing their bags full of lactose free milk, cheese and yogurts.
The students of the Lactofree community told us of their experiences…
Coralie, from Hull: “At 18, I went to university and one day on a trip to the supermarket, I spotted Lactofree yogurt and was so desperate for dairy I picked up the carton and read the packaging….Imagine my surprise! Lactofree is tested to trace levels! Lactofree are aware of the symptoms of lactose intolerance! They are hosting online a whole COMMUNITY! I could barely believe it. I’m so thankful that I no longer have to suffer dairy-free alternatives! Even though I love cooking everything from scratch I now also have the choice to be a normal student and live on cheese on toast!”
Rob, from Kent: “I hated soya milk and now I’ve found Lactofree, I’m over the moon! It goes on my cereal, in my hot drinks and even in my cooking. My flatmates who aren’t even lactose intolerant like the taste of it too and now it’s the only milk we buy at uni. Three cheers for Lactofree!”
Jennifer, from Oxfordshire: “Three months into my lactose free diet, I haven’t looked back. I’m back on course with my university studies and instead of being pale, sickly Jennifer, I’m energetic and bubbly Jennifer, and it feels wonderful!”
Mary-Ann, from Colchester: “I started university and avoided eating the obvious things, but then one day a friend told me he had seen a brand of milk in the shop called Lactofree – I gave it a go but did not expect anything to have changed, as I thought I was allergic to cow’s milk and not lactose. But it was amazing, I drank the milk and I was fine – no vomiting, no rash, no upset stomach. I am soon to turn 19 and am so happy to have found Lactofree – I am greatly looking forward to making my birthday cake with the knowledge I will not be sick after eating it!”
