Lactose and Meat Free Monday
Lactofree are supporting Meat Free Monday, a new campaign set up by the McCartney family, in order to limit meat eating and combat climate change.
Meat Free Monday aims to persuade people to go veggie once a week to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the world’s livestock, among the most serious contributors to global warming. And our Lactofree Recipe Club can help you to eat both lactose and meat free!
Sir Paul McCartney said: ‘I think many of us feel helpless in the face of environmental challenges,’ he says. ‘Having one designated meat-free day a week is actually a meaningful change that everyone can make.’
There are lovely vegetarian recipes in the Lactofree Recipe Club which have been sent in by the budding chefs of our community. From Katja Plasse’s Spinach and Soft White Cheese Lasagne to Mia Botcher’s Simple Potato Salad, there’s plenty for you to choose from!
On Meat Free Monday the Lactofree Recipe Club makes it deliciously easy to help tackle climate change. And don’t forget to submit your favourite recipes so we can try them too!
