My son is now nearly 9 and I found out he was lactose intolerant when he was a toddler. We love your milk and the new yogurts, but we can’t find the cheeses in our local Tesco’s. I would love to get hold of some as he likes cheese, I could make him his favourte pizza then! And macaroni cheese and a host of other dishes he loves but has missed out on for so long.

Hi, if you are having difficulties finding Lactofree products in your local Tesco or other supermarkets, please complete a stockist request form here: http://www.lactofree.co.uk/what-is-lactofree/stockists/request/ and we can make the supermarkets aware of the consumer demand.

We have four generations in our family that are lactose intolerant, the intolerance is getting worse as it goes down the generations, my grandson is two and is now bordering galatosaemic, him and older brother, their mum, my self and my dad all have problems, we have managed to find milk, but no cheese yet or natural yogurt. We would also love some lactose free milk chocolate, could you perhaps talk to kinnerton chocolate makers as they do a dairy free dark chocolatexx

Re: Is Your Child Lactose Intolerant? – Mrs Nichola Azazy
My daughter is 10 months old, and we realised she was lactose intolerant at about 3 weeks old. It was great to know that these products were available, when we started weaning we used Lactofree from day one, so she has never known any different. We still haven’t managed to find the cheese in any of our local stores.

My 20 month old son is lactose intolerant – I discovered this when he was a few weeks old. I used Lactofree milk when I was breastfeeding, and now I buy if for him too. I am lucky that I have been able to find most of the products in the range, with the exception of soft white cheese, although I do have to go to 3 different supermarkets. The addition of the cheese to the range is a godsend! My son is just starting to talk, and one of his favourite words is “cheese”!

Re: Is Your Child Lactose Intolerant? – Rosemary Anne Finlinson
I have been using a range of lacto free products for the last couple of months since I discovered how much better my four year old is. He is now out of nappies for the first time and just in time for school. Do they do lactofree box drinks for school milk breaksx

Is Your Child Lactose Intolerant? – Lactofree Support
Hi Rosemary, we do not currently produce small cartons of Lactofree for school milk breaks, but you could decant the milk into a smaller container and provide it to the school, who would hopefully be accommodating to your son's lactose intolerance.

My son is 9 and has always had diarrhoea! My doctor previously checked him and stated as long as he was eating and had lots of energy, he would be fine! He has no other symptoms (pain etc) but I’m wondering if he could be intolerantx Milk is all he drinks! What do you thinkx

Is Your Child Lactose Intolerant? – Lactofree Support
Hi Sharon, While it does sound like milk could be a problem for your son, it is important to distinguish whether he has lactose intolerance or an allergy to cows' milk. The best course of action would be to revisit your doctor, armed with these questions and ask for the relevant tests to be done.

Is Your Child Lactose Intolerant? – Christie Devine
All four of us, myself, partner and 2 children, are all lactose intolerant. I am unable to let our sons have school dinners as the majority of the recipes contain some kind of dairy. Seeing as lactose intolerance is the most common of food intolerances I think that this should be catered for.

Have you spoken to the school Christinex I never had an issue with kids at school and my sons primary even took his milk off me on a weekly basis to provide him with milk at break/lunch and would cook him what they could with it. use to have weekly meeting to see menu and we would adapt between us, could not fault them. that was 15/20 yrs ago so maybe with todays suing culture things have changed.
