Enjoy a Lactofree Pancake Day!
Tomorrow is Shrove Tuesday, which means it’s time for pancakes! These simple crepe-style pancakes are delicious with the new Lactofree Soft White Cheese and you can add anything you like from smoked salmon and spinach to mushrooms, chicken or ham.
And don’t forget to save some room for a sweet dessert pancake served with fresh fruit and your choice of raspberry, strawberry or natural Lactofree yogurt.
Ingredients
100g (4 oz) plain flour
1 egg
450ml (16 fl oz) Lactofree milk
Instructions
1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, egg and milk.
2. Heat a large frying pan or crêpe pan over medium high heat. Lightly grease with vegetable oil. Pour about 4 tablespoons of batter into the pan, lift the pan and turn it by rotating your wrist, spreading a paper-thin amount over the bottom of the pan. Flip the crêpe when it starts to bubble. When it is finished cooking, remove it and repeat this process with the remaining batter.
3. Serve with your favourite toppings.
If you photograph your pancakes and tell us how you made them you could win free Lactofree products for a month and have your recipe featured on the website when the competition closes on 27th February. Email your recipes and photos to Team Lactofree.
Happy Pancake Day from Team Lactofree!
