Coconut Milk and Lactofree
Get inventive with your cooking and substitute Lactofree for milk in any recipe. It cooks up just the same as any other milk, just without the lactose!
But what about adding that creamy taste? Coconut milk is a pretty good substitute for cream in exotic Asian dishes as this blogger explains here in her blog “When Dairy is Not Your Friend” about Lactose Intolerance: http://lactoseintolerance.blogspot.com/2006/08/coconut-milk-nectar-of-gods.html
But there are some caveats:
“Now, I’m not about to suggest pouring a can of coconut milk over your cereal. Not only would that taste weird and get expensive, but you’d soon be very fat. No, when I say coconut milk should have a place in your kitchen, I mean that it has great potential to give you creamy dishes without the stomach pain.”
We suggest a dash of both coconut milk and Lactofree!
