Can You Spot Lactofree Yogurt?
It’s been two gloriously creamy months since the launch of Lactofree yogurt and we’ve been swamped with positive feedback from very happy yogurt lovers, but we’re disappointed to hear that many of you haven’t been able to find it in your local supermarkets…
‘My local Morrisons is only selling the flavoured yogurts and not the plain one. Apparently there is ‘no demand’. How they know that when it’s only just been launched beats me! Is anyone having a similar problem?’
‘I was very excited to hear about the Lactofree yogurt being launched. However, I’ve not been able to find it in any of my local supermarkets so far. Where have people been able to buy it?’
So the Lactofree Team got thinking and we’d love you to tell us where you have or haven’t spotted Lactofree yogurt on sale, then we will do our best to encourage more stores to stock it. You can either add your comments below or email us.
Keep your eyes peeled and we’ll try to keep your taste buds satisfied!

My local Asda has the flavoured and natural yoghurt at Castlepoint in Bournemouth. It tastes delicious but I have not found any at my more local sainsburys and tesco in Ferndown.

Can I buy lacto free youghurt direct from this website x
Shyam
i can’t find the lactofree yoghurt in my local supermarkets at all!!!! and i live in central london!!! I can’t source it in Sainsbury’s on Waterloo Road SE1 – (useless store!), and in Tesco’s Covent Garden!!! And why is there not a fat free version of lacto-free milk availablex

My huge Tesco at Cheshunt, Herts stocks both varieties of yoghurt, which is great but its a bit excessive to get the car out just for some yoghurt!!! My local Tesco, which is a walk away, stocks both the whole and semi-skimmed milk in fresh and long life and but my local Waitrose only stocks semi-skimmed - no whole and no yoghurts. Its so annoying. My 18 month old son is lactose intolerant so the whole milk has been a God-send to us and the yoghurts are fantastic - we both enjoy them. I wonder whether I will be able to get the cheese anywhere or whether I will have to get the car out. I have been waiting so long for a decent cheese - the soya alternatives and the potato starch one (Cheezly) should be banned for being the least thing like cheese ever - they are gross and I've wasted so much money in my quest for a cheese substitute!! Lets hope these supermarkets get their acts together and realise there is a huge demand for the Lactofree products. Lactose intolerance is so common these days. Any chance of reducing the price of the milk as wellx If you have to eat something a bit "different" you get hammered with the price - its not fair!!!

I have just purchased my first batch of yoghurts from Sainsbury in Banbury, Oxfordshire and they are to die for. They are just delicious and the strawberry fruit in them is still juicy! I just can’t wait to buy the cheese now. Thanks to LactoFree for inventing this!

I found mine in Tesco (Barry) and Tesco (Culverhouse Cross), South Wales. I gave them to my daughter (3) who absolutely loves them and they are quite often on offer in Tesco to £1 for the 4 pack! Even Better!!!

I’ve found the yogurts in Sainbury’s at Kidlington (Oxford). I have to travel 10 miles to get there as nowhere else around me (we are a Tesco stronghold round here) stocks it. At last a yoghurt I can eat!

Hi Can't get the yogurts or cheese (cheese is what I was most looking forward to, having not had it in three years!)in any of the supermarkets in Barrow in Furness or Ulverston. Out on a limb here, in that other supermarkets are many miles away, too far to travel for one product. Asked in stores and have been told by Tesco, ASDA, Morrisons and Booths that demand is not sufficient for them to stock these items. Yet they sell the inedible soya cheeses! ASDA said they had been sent the products by the manufacturer but were returning them as they had no space to put them on their shelves! They would not sell them to me! I have other digestive problems as well as lactose intolerance and can't always digest soya, so Lactofree was the answer for me. The stores have only been stocking the milk for a year or so. Help! H

Postscript on this: Booths have replied to my query with them re: the yogurts and cheese and said they can't stock it due to 'minimum drops and low volumes' from the supplier. Guess that means they can't get hold of it due to short supplyx They were the first supermarket here to stock the milk. Helen

Helen, I’m very sorry to hear you’re having problems finding our products. Lactofree hard cheese is currently available in Morrisons and as from today, also in Asda. If you have any problems locating any of the Lactofree range then please submit a stockist request form – http://www.lactofree.co.uk/what-is-lactofree/stockists/request/ – and we will contact your local supermarket.

Hi Lucy Thanks, but Morrisons here in Barrow don't even sell the milk anymore and don't stock the cheese or yogurts. ASDA say they have no room on their shelves for it so were returning the yogurts to the manufacturers!. I did complete a stockists request form but the stores still aren't planning on stocking the items. Regards Helen

It sooooooooooooooooo frustrating isnt it, knowing these products are out there but not being able to get hold of them. Luckily I can get milk & yoghurts (at the moment!)but am desperate to get the cheese. It will make such a difference to my dull diet and to know that its out there but cant get it is making me cross! Have filled in the stockists request for two local supermarkets but reading other peoples problems on here offers little confidence ill enjoy cheese once more! Some of the supermarket staff have been useless! I dont know how they can say there isnt the demand, the milk especially seems to fly off the shelves!
HELEN MCCARTHY
Thankyou so much for the information.I'm delighted to say that I've found the cheese in the Barrow in Furness branch of Morrisons..just half an hour ago! I've sat here and enjoyed my first cheese for three years! I look forward to jacket potato and cheese..mmmm. Tastes good! Thankyou for making this product available to us cheeseaholics. No yogurts though. Oh, and ASDA still say no. Helen

The town where I live has two supermarkets one Morrisons and one Sainsbury's both only stock the milk but not all the time I normally have to wait a few days before they get it in. I have to travel 15 miles to a bigger Sainsbury's to get the Yogurt but have only been able to do that once and the plain yoghurt only had 2 days left on it! I have managed to get the falvoured Yoghurts from ASDA but only once so I am not holding out on been able to get the cheese or whole milk!
Karen Green
In my town the only one that stocks youghrt and the milk is Sainburys. We got an Asda and 2 Tesco but they only do the milk. I have even send a letter to Asda and nothing as jet come out of it. This is so upsetting

I was delighted to find the yoghuts in my local Tescos Metro in Bebington, Wirral. they have stocked the milk for a while but being a small store I didnt think they would get the yoghurts in. Now just to wait for the cheese!
HELEN MCCARTHY
Hi After many months, I managed to get, and relied upon getting, my Lactofree cheese/yogurts from Morrisons, Barrow in Furness, only having a problem if they ran out as the cheese was very popular. Imagine my dismay, especially as I have a lactose intolerant niece visiting from Australia who was looking forward to trying these products, when I found the cheese and yogurts missing from their shelves this week. I asked and was told that, although they still had the order sheets for the product, they weren't stocking it at the moment due to delivery/space problems! They could not tell if or when they would re order but it could be a few 'months' at least if they did. Argh! I can't get this anywhere else in my area. Booths in Ulverston intend to stock, so they've told me, but for some reason not until August. Just thought I would notify you of this. Tesco and ASDA never have and never will sell it here and we have no Sainsburys. Regards helen McCarthy

EH64AQ Michelle btw, I already filled in the request in this webpage and also, Asda booked my request today for the yogurt in store. Anything else I can dox
Lactofree Support
Hi Michelle, sorry to hear of your difficulty in locating our products. If you would consider ordering your shopping online, we can recommend these retailers which stock Lactofree: http://www.lactofree.co.uk/what-is-lactofree/stockists/retailers/ It would be great if you could also encourage any other friends or family in the area who would also like to see the products stocked in your local supermarkets to submit a stockist request form. Also, it could be useful to arrange to meet other members of the Lactofree community at the supermarket and ask the customer services or store manager together if it is possible to make an order for Lactofree products. Hope you manage to find Lactofree and keep us posted with any developments.

For the last 6 weeks I have not been able to find Lactofree natural yogurt anywhere…....shock horror. Whereas as it had previously been stocked by four major supermarkets in my area (purley, croydon) Tesco, Asda, Morrison’s and Sainsbury’s, all seem to have stopped, despite the fact the stuff flew off the shelves like hot cakes! I used to have to buy three pots at a time because it was so popular! Why have they stopped when the demand was clearly therex Help.. A sad lactose intolerant!
Lactofree Support
Hi, unfortunately Lactofree natural yogurt is only available in selected Sainsbury's stores and online via Ocado http://www.ocado.com until mid-August. Following this it will be withdrawn due to low levels of demand and fruit yogurts proving more popular with consumers. If you submit a stockist request form we will ensure that it is passed directly to your local supermarket to make them fully aware of the demand www.lactofree.co.uk/what-is-lactofree/stockists/request We will continue to research new products and will keep the Lactofree community informed as soon as there are any developments.

I was able to purchase the plan lactofree yoghurt in the large Tesco Store in Salisbury for about 5 weeks. Due to ‘low demand’ they have stopped selling it.. I do not like flavoured yoghurt nor milk, so the natural yoghurt was a godsend to me. No other supermarket in Salisbury or any in the surrounding towns that i have visited stock the yoghurt. Please would you try and convince the supermarkets that people do want this product and they need to give it a fair chance before removing it from thier fridges. I love this product and it needs to be back in the supermarkets country wide. I would really appreciate it if you could e-mail me a list of shops in the Salisbury area that stock this product or let me know if there is another way that i can purchase it. Thanks
Lactofree Support
Hi Laura, to find out your nearest stockist of natural yogurt and all of our other products, please try our stockist search tool: http://www.lactofree.co.uk/what-is-lactofree/stockists/ We continue to forward every stockist request form submitted to us directly to retailers www.lactofree.co.uk/what-is-lactofree/stockists/request to make them fully aware of the demand for products. I used to be able to buy Lactofree Yoghurts from most of my main supermarket chains in the Stockton on Tees area but over the last few weeks, yoghurts have disappeared off the shelves. The stores are Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsburys. I have completed a stockist request form. What’s going on!! Have the yoghurts been withdrawn because of a problem with product or is it just to do with salesx

I have been having problems with sourcing Lacto Free yoghurts, and I eventually found them in my local tesco (only because I wrote to them to ask if they can stock it), anyway, I love them, but would really like more flavours, and yes please to the natural one, so that I could add in my own flavouring fruit and perhaps some nuts and dried fruit...! Please Please can you come out with more flavours and natural again, I live in South wales. thanks
