There are many delicious recipes out there just begging to be made, but on closer inspection, many contain dairy ingredients and are avoided by those with lactose intolerance.
But one of our budding community chefs, Elaine Livingstone, has inspired us with her culinary creativity when craving traditional cheese scones.
Elaine combined flour and salt with Lactofree soft white cheese, grated semi hard cheese and Lactofree semi skimmed to create perfect cheesy scones which she and her lactose intolerant children absolutely love!
A little ingenuity and experimentation in the kitchen means that we can have our scones – and eat them too! We hope you enjoy making and tasting Elaine’s cheese scones.
