A True Lactofree Fan - From the USA!

I live in Indiana in the United States and was diagnosed with lactose intolerance after having my second child. After some dreadful symptoms, my family doctor did some skin tests and milk came up as an allergy. But despite cutting milk from my diet, I was still sick. We went through everything until finally eliminating ALL dairy and that was that. I did a lot of research and realised that lactose was really the culprit.

I stay lactose free at home quite easily. I have come to depend on certain brands and know what I can order when I eat out. My advice from my experiences with lactose intolerance in America would be to READ READ READ all labels and to always ask before ordering, even at your favourite restaurants. I also include a lot of fresh foods in my diet, especially spinach, broccoli and sardines to help with my calcium intake.

But that was the easy part – my partner lives in England and I came to be with him in June for six weeks. I was very nervous and concerned about how my diet would be affected over here. But, to my great surprise and delight, my partner had done some research and found the Lactofree brand. The fridge was stocked full with Lactofree products. The taste and quality of the products was astonishing (the soft white cheese was my favourite!). I have to say that your brand is far and away the best I have ever tried! The Lactofree semi-hard cheese is wonderful – in America the cheeses are quite bland and very hard to slice.

Coming to England was still a little scary, because I was introduced to all kinds of new foods, but my partner was careful and with a little help from Lactofree, I had no problems. England is a beautiful and diverse and I absolutely fell in love with the country AND the food. I am a true Lactofree fan!
