Lactofree changed our lives

When when our son Toby was six months old, he was grumpy, never settled and there were many sleepless nights. But after weaning his grumpiness went from bad to worse and I began to get worried when he started vomiting and his nappies were – well sparing the details – unpleasant!
Numerous visits to the health visitor and doctor followed, only to be told that it was a virus. The “virus” continued and so did all the symptoms. Toby should have been a happy little boy full of energy, but instead he was grumpy, clingy and barely slept. My family were suffering too, my three year old daughter was being constantly woken by Toby’s screams and my husband and I struggled along, through a sleep deprived fog.
Then one miraculous day, I happened upon Lactofree.co.uk and quickly realised that my son’s symptoms were similar to that of lactose intolerance. More visits back to the doctor followed, and I insisted with doctors and health visitors that lactose intolerance could be to blame. Finally, the doctor agreed to allow my son to try a soya substitute, and referred us to a specialist. Another two month wait ensued. I tried the soya subsitute, but to no avail, his symptoms did not improve.
Eventually when Toby was 18 months old, the specialist agreed that he could be lactose intolerant and so another soya product was suggested… nobody told me that soya is not always the way forward when a child is lactose intolerant. I stuck to my belief that lactose was the problem and various foods were removed from my son’s diet, scarily limiting the amounts of foods he could eat. I was seriously worried for his health, the substitute I had been given was awful, I couldn’t cook with it and it tasted awful, and smelt bad too.
And then I remembered where I had first discovered lactose intolerance…Lactofree.co.uk! I started seeing more of your products on the shelves and thought why not give it a go. Since then, I haven’t looked back. I found that Lactofree is creamy like milk, it tastes like cheese, yogurts are smooth and you can cook all the best recipes with Lactofree!
Toby is two in a few weeks time and now he’s a happy, cheeky little boy! He’s full of energy, enjoys annoying his sister and keeps his parents on their toes…We now have no energy through following our mischievous son around and I know for sure that I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Lactose intolerance had a huge impact on not only our son, but on the whole family. We, and especially Toby, would like to thank the team at Lactofree, for the tasty products that have changed our lives.
