Simple home cooking is influenced by Mediterranean flavours and local produce. Welsh lamb, Ribeye steak, Portuguese Chicken Piri Piri or Caldeirada, may be preceded by spicy pan fried prawns, a hearty dish of chicken livers sautéed in marsala wine, Conwy mussels or a freshly made soup or salad.
