Add a kick to your coffee with this fantastic lactose-free Irish Coffee recipe, perfect for a chilly winter's evening.
Ingredients
Hot strong black coffee
1 tsp sugar or sweetener
1 measure brandy/whisky/spirit of your choice
Lactofree cream
Instructions
1. Put the kettle on and make black coffee using either instant or fresh coffee, depending on your preference.
1. Pour the coffee into a coffee glass until it is just over half full (be careful as boiling hot liquid straight into a glass can cause it to crack. It’s best to use glasses designed for coffee, as they will easily be able to cope with the heat).
2. Add the sugar and stir until it dissolves.
3. Add the alcohol and stir.
4. Pour a thick layer of Lactofree cream on to the coffee over the back of a teaspoon, allowing it to settle on top. Alternatively, whip the Lactofree cream until stiff and pour slowly on to the top of the coffee.
